Child Custody

Child Custody in Utah

Often a potential client will contact me seeking a "child custody" order. This often occurs where parties are not married and there has been a break-up of the parties' relationship. The State of Utah does not recognize a separate law suit for "child custody" matter, but child custody is determined in other legal actions.

Child Custody can determined under one of the following legal actions: (a) a divorce, (b) paternity action, (c) a divorce modification action, or (d) a paternity modification action.
